2nd arrest in Dabney robbery

A second Creedmoor man has been charged in the armed robbery of a Dabney Drive convenience store Saturday.

Henderson police announced Tuesday afternoon that Willie Mortez Daniels, 37, of 507 Lake Road in Creedmoor is accused of playing a role in the robbery of the Parade BP station on Dabney Drive about 4:10 p.m. Saturday. The warrant was passed to Granville County authorities to serve because Daniels is in the Granville jail on other charges.

Two men carried out that robbery, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash but causing no injuries.

A description of the getaway car led Henderson police investigators to Creedmoor, where they made the first arrest in the case hours after the robbery. Stanley T. Satterwhite, 42, of 317 Cherry St. in Creedmoor is charged with armed robbery.

Satterwhite was jailed in Vance County in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Detective Sgt. D.H. Edwards and Detective R.N. Stancil led the investigation.

Police Chief Glen Allen said in the news release that further charges are possible.
