HPD breaks alleged tobacco thief’s habit


On December 29, 2007 at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the Wilco Hess convenience store located at 1640 N. Garnett Street in reference to a report of a breaking, entering, and larceny.

Upon arrival, officers found that the building had indeed been entered and $500 worth of cigarettes had been taken.

After an investigation by members of the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, the individual listed below has been arrested and charged:

Henderson, NC
Charges: Breaking, entering, and larceny; possession of stolen property
Bond: $30,000
Court date: June 23, 2008
