Fire station 100th anniversary
Fire Station #2 on Garnett Street in downtown Henderson The 100 Year Anniversary of Henderson Fire Station No. 2 and the Henderson-Vance Fire Department Fire Prevention Open House will be observed together on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 205 Garnett Street from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

According to yesterday’s Daily Dispatch, attorney John Zollicoffer is not only back after a short retirement from city service, but he’s also bringing recently acquired legal partners Caroline Burnette, Mike Satterwhite, and Jerry Stainback with him. Henderson City Council member Mary Emma Evans was noted in the article as being ready for “criticism”. We can only assume she meant on Home in Henderson. Was Zollicoffer a good choice or a symptom of a reactionary council? Let us know your thoughts …
