NC students encouraged to speak at conference


North Carolina students with an interest in public speaking are encouraged to apply now to make a presentation at the 13th annual Raising Achievement and Closing Gaps Conference.

The conference, sponsored by the State Board of Education and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, will be held March 30 to April 1, 2009 at the Sheraton Greensboro Hotel at Four Seasons/Joseph S. Koury Convention Center, Greensboro.

Three students will be selected to make presentations during the opening session scheduled for March 30 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
