Between Golden LEAF, Vance County ARC, and the Vance County Board of Education, there’s a lot for conscientious Vance residents to do this evening. We’re glad the Dispatch has finally gotten into the spirit of realizing that these things need to be scheduled so that citizens have the option to attend all of these functions. We’re sorry that it took an empty newsroom to bring them around to our way of thinking.

Plans are being finalized for the Henderson-Vance County Spring Litter Sweep on Saturday, April 25, 2009, by the Henderson Community Appearance Commission and the Vance County Appearance Commission.

Orange-Breckenridge, Zene Street, and Embassy Square projects combined to receive funds Planning & Community Development Director Erris Dunston told members of the Henderson City Council during its regular Monday evening meeting that the Mayor’s Task Force on Housing first published the Orange-Breckenridge plan of redevelopment in 2006, but there were no funds to implement the plan at that time.

City to adopt Orange-Brecken. project “master plan”
Here is the agenda for today’s meeting of the Henderson City Council. The council meets for its regular session the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in its chambers at City Hall located at 134 Rose Avenue.
