America’s Best Value Inn closed for violations

On June 15, 2009, members of the Community Revitalization Initiative (CRI) met and discussed several quality of life issues at 200 Parham Road.

This location, better known as America’s Best Value Inn was the host of a weekend gathering where three people were shot, one of whom later died.

On May 27, 2009, the Henderson Fire Department performed an inspection of the establishment and found several health and safety code violations. Upon re-inspection by HFD on June 15, 2009 at 4:30 p.m., the business was found to still be in violation.

Consultation with management resulted in the immediate closure of the business until such time that all of the violations can be corrected. CRI members for this quality of life improvement were:

  • Henderson Fire Department
  • Henderson Police Department
  • Henderson Code Enforcement
  • Henderson Water Department
  • Progress Energy
