Search warrant at Owens Auto Repair nets two


Chief K.L. Sidwell reports that members of the Henderson Police Department’s Narcotics Unit conducted a search warrant at the business Owens Auto Repair located at 335 Hamilton Street in Henderson, North Carolina.

The investigation was initiated due to a large volume of citizen complaints of drug activity located at the Hamilton Street address.

The search warrant was executed on August 14, 2009 after what police characterized as an “intensive investigation”. A substantial amount of crack cocaine was located. The crack cocaine was packaged for sale. Drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was also located during the search.

The investigation is continuing and more arrests are pending.
