HPD makes arrest for heroin possession


On December 18, 2009 a patrol officer with the Henderson Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 900 Block of Stanley Street.

During the stop the officer found heroin inside the vehicle. The driver, Quinton Mitchell of 614 Thomas Street, Henderson, was arrested for possession of a Schedule One controlled substance. He was given a $5,000 secured bond and was released on bond pending a court date of January 11, 2010.

Mitchell is listed as being on twenty-four month supervised probation for a conviction of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. These charges were from an arrest involving copper theft from a residence on Wester Ave in Henderson in June of 2008.
