HPD makes arrest for theft from fatal fire scene
On February 11, 2010 around 1:16 p.m. officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to 132 S. Elizabeth Street in reference to a breaking and entering in progress.

Agenda for today’s council work session
The Henderson City Council will meet in a work session today, Monday, February 15, 2010 to discuss projected that are jointly funded with Vance County as well as items left over from the council’s recent work session.
Henderson couple receive federal sentence
A Henderson couple was sentenced January 5, 2010 in federal court in New Bern, North Carolina on several drug and firearm violations.

County “willing to look at” joint funding issues
Henderson Mayor Pete O’Geary told the Joint Intergovernmental Committee at the outset of yesterday’s afternoon meeting that he hoped the city and Vance County boards could develop a work plan that will resolve concerns in a “win-win manner” by late spring.

Joint intergovernmental committee meets Thursday
The Joint Intergovernmental Committee is scheduled to meet on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall to discuss joint funding. This committee is comprised of members from the Henderson City Council and the Vance County Board of Commissioners. Henderson City Hall is located at 134 Rose Avenue in Henderson, North Carolina.

Rainey: Need to stop negative comments
