Henderson drug investigation nets arrest


Chief K.L. Sidwell reports that members of the Henderson Police Department Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation on the 600 block of Marshall Street in Henderson, North Carolina on March 28, 2010.

The investigation was initiated after citizen complaints of open air drug sales in the area.

During the investigation, Preston Williams was detained and searched. Marijuana was discovered during the search of Williams’ person. After a check of Williams through a warrant database, it was discovered that Williams has warrants for breaking and entering in Vance County and for two counts of trafficking cocaine in Wake County. Wake County authorities were notified, and Williams was transported to Raleigh for processing. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are pending.
