Arrest made for coin-op B&E


On Monday October 18, 2010, Mark Repokis of Double Bubble Car Wash, 860 S. Beckford Drive in Henderson, North Carolina reported that four vacuum cleaner units at the car wash had been entered.

Repokis indicated that locks had been removed from the machine and an undisclosed amount of US currency taken.

On Tuesday October 19, 2010, Henderson police were called again to the Double Bubble Car Wash. On this occasion, Repokis reported that two vacuum cleaner units had been entered. Again, locks were removed and an undisclosed amount of US currency was taken.

After conducting an investigation into the matter, Officer W. Harris and members of the Criminal Investigation Division arrested Jason Douglas Ayscue.

Ayscue, 30, of 154 Crews Lane in Henderson, North Carolina was charged with six felony counts of breaking and entering a coin-operated machine and one felony count of damaging a coin-operated Machine. Ayscue was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a $35,000 secured bond. A November 30, 2010 trial date has been set for Vance County District court.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
