On Saturday, January 29, 2011, officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to 550 W. Andrews Avenue in Henderson in response to a breaking and entering.
Officers found that the apartment of Demareo Lamont Mayoney had been entered and a 32” Sony television stolen.
After conducting an investigation, officers obtained warrants for Michael Andre Kelly, 48, of 517 Daniel Street in Henderson. Kelly was charged with one count of possession of burglary tools, one count of felonious breaking and entering, and one count of felonious larceny. Kelly was taken into custody at his residence. He was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a $43,000 secured bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Vance County District Court on February 1, 2011.
