“Caveman” chalks up arrests #44 & 45


On Sunday, February 20, 2011, on officer of the Henderson Police Department responded to Food Lion on 1650 Dabney Drive in Henderson in response to a larceny that just occurred.

A store manager advised police that Calvin Wilson, a.k.a. “Caveman”, had entered the store and left with items that had not been paid for. Another officer located Wilson and returned him to the store with the merchandise. It was determined that Wilson allegedly had left the store with four packs of bacon, eight packs of mild or hot sausage, one smoked sausage and four packs of turkey polska sausage having a value of $72.64

A warrant check was conducted on NCAWARE and an additional warrant was found for Wilson. This warrant alleged a larceny from the Food Lion located at 1650 N. Garnett Street in Henderson. The amount of loss in this matter was not disclosed.

Wilson was transported to the Vance County Magistrate’s Office where he was given a $1,000 secured bond on the first incident and a $300 secured bond for the second incident. Wilson was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post bond. A trial date has been set for March 17, 2011 in Vance County District Court.
