Attempted Bank Robbery Arrest

On August 4, 2011 around 1:41 PM officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to Bank of America, 1405 N. Garnett Street, Henderson, NC in reference to an attempted bank robbery that had just occurred. Officers responded to the area and gained information on the suspect’s description. Upon further investigation the suspect was quickly located and apprehended at 185 Vincent Hoyle Road Lot 4, Henderson. The nature of the attempt was the suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was displayed in the robbery.

Arrested was Joseph Clark, 25, of 1020 County Home Road, Henderson, NC.  Mr. Clark was charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and was given a $50,000 secured bond pending a court hearing on August 15, 2011.  Members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation were contacted to assist in the investigation.
