VGCC holds Seminar on Workplace Behavior

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a free seminar, entitled “How to Deal with Unacceptable Behavior in the Workplace,” in November. The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, Nov. 15 in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

Participants will learn about the high cost of unacceptable workplace behavior, which wastes management time, lowers morale and causes mistakes. Mike Collins, president of The Perfect Workday Company in Raleigh, will lead the three-hour seminar. Collins, who has led numerous well-received seminars at VGCC, has a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a master’s degree from Duke University. Collins will present effective ways for supervisors to handle behaviors that are problematic or simply annoying, and to prevent substandard behavior from becoming a habit.

VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar. To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 738-3275 or 738-3240.
