On November 29th, 2011, the City of Henderson hosted a lighting of the official Christmas Tree in Downtown Henderson. Attending were Mayor Pete O’Geary, Rev. Mary Anderson with the Invocation, the South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church Choir, Scripture Reading by Rev. Brenda Peace-Jenkins, First Methodist Church Choir, Statement from Downtown Development Coordinator Phil Lakernick, Musical Solo by Raynah Adams, Shiloh Baptist Church Choir, and closing statements by HVDDS Chairman Jason Stewardson.
