First African American Cultural Festival


April 20th – 22nd 2012, Henderson will be the location of the first area African Americal Cultural Festival presented by the African American Community Events Support Committee. (A.A.C.E.S.)

Join for the opening ceremonies and activities on Friday, enjoy a day full of fun on Saturday, and teh closing ceremonies on Sunday.

Friday, April 20th at 6:30pm at Henderson Middle School Athletic Field

Saturday, April 21st at 10:30am at Henderson Middle School Athletic Field

Sunday April 22nd at 3:30pm at Shiloh Baptist Church

Musical guests include Just Friends Jazz Quintet and the Magic of African Rhythm.

Other activities include a health fair, face painting, storytelling, art display, essays, and various tournaments.

The event is free and open to the public.

AACES promotes Education, Community Service, Politics and Religion in the area.
