April’s N.C. Beer Month promotes breweries, special offers, related events

To celebrate North Carolina’s craft beer prowess and the destinations where it’s nurtured, breweries, hotels, restaurants and other businesses are combining forces with the North Carolina Brewers Guild and North Carolina Division of Tourism for the inaugural North Carolina Beer Month, April 2013. Throughout April, beer lovers will find special tours, tastings, dinners, classes and other events as well as lodging packages and deals on North Carolina craft beer. Travelers can chart a course from urban pub hubs and beer frontiers to lively towns with character to spare.

More than 70 breweries and industry partners across the state are participating. However, any tourism-related business that is interested in hosting a special event to spotlight North Carolina beers is welcome to have its event listed on the N.C. Beer Month website. Events such as Hickory Hops in Hickory and Brewgaloo in Raleigh are listed and so is Spring Fling in Pittsboro, a local festival that is showcasing the latest release from Carolina Brewery. There are numerous ways to highlight and promote North Carolina beer tourism via accommodations and restaurants and through events and special offers. For inspiration, visit the newly-launched website to see what’s already there. To discuss ideas or special offers by accommodations/restaurants, contact Public Relations Representative Suzanne Brown at (919) 715-6703. Contact your local VisitNC/Extranet contact to get N.C. Beer Month-related events listed.
