US EPA SPILL CONTROL, PREVENTION, AND COUNTERMEASURE PLANS
It has been brought to my attention that Congress may elect to exempt farmers from the requirements of this regulation. Farmers may wish to seek further information before proceeding with any work on compliance activities. If a farmer decides to get a plan written by a consulting firm, they should get several estimates to compare prices.

CERTIFIED BURNER SCHOOL
NCFS’s 2013 Certified Burner School will be held October 15th and 16th at Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC. Although targeted to forestry professionals, they do not seem to mind if private landowners attend. I attended one year and found it VERY informative. The cost to attend is $25.00 per person, paid by cash or check on the first day of class. For additional information contact Melinda Gore at 919-857-4863. Visit http://ncforestservice.gov/Hot%20Topics/certified_burner_registration.asp to register.
