Joretha Johnson – TNHF Board Chairman

Joretha G. Johnson has been elected chairman of Triangle North Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors at its meeting in December.

Johnson is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and a former plant manager at Proctor & Gamble/IAMS in Henderson. She is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in polymer engineering and science as well as a Master of Science degree in positive organizational development. She also received an executive certificate in Nonprofit Leadership at Duke University in Durham.

Johnson worked for Proctor & Gamble for 23 years, holding numerous assignments in diverse regions and business units, including Mexico City, where she managed international supply chains that produced diapers and feminine products. In 2007, she moved to the pet care plant in Henderson. She retired in 2010 to pursue her interests as a social entrepreneur and community leader.

Johnson also serves as a member of the Chancellor’s African American Advisory Committee for N.C. State University and is the founder of the nonprofit research and development organization for youth, The HERO Institute Foundation. She resides in Wake Forest with her husband and three sons.

Triangle North Healthcare Foundation, formerly known as Maria Parham Healthcare Foundation, is a nonprofit grantmaking organization that serves to improve health in the region that includes Vance, Warren, Granville, and Franklin counties.
