There’s been a lot of emphasis lately on making houses that are more energy efficient — with better insulation and windows that seal out heat and cold. Many feature the use of solar panels to capture the natural heat of the sun. The first house in America with solar heating and radiation cooling opened this week in 1955 in Tucson, Arizona. A large, slanting slab of steel and glass converted sunlight into heat, which was ducted into the house. In America’s 115 million occupied housing units, gas remains the most common heating fuel, outpacing electricity — 54 percent to 36 percent. All other types of fuel are used in just under 9 percent of U.S. homes. You can find more facts about America’s people, places and economy, from the American Community Survey, at <www.census.gov>.

from Saul Alinsky:
There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state.
The first is the most important.
1) Healthcare – Control healthcare and you control the people
2) Poverty – Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you
are providing everything for them to live.
3) Debt – Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more
poverty.
4) Gun Control – Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare – Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)
6) Education – Take control of what people read and listen to – take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion – Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools
8) Class Warfare – Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier
to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
Does any of this sound like what is happening to the
United States ?
I didn’t know one thing about Alinsky so I checked it out. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saul_Alinsky) Just like people interpret the Bible or the Koran, to say one thing or another, it depends on what you want to believe. Our nation is in trouble because not enough VOTERS bother to inform themselves regarding the real issues or the demonstrated values of the politicians we elect to REPRESENT us. It is easy to take things out of context and deceive those who don’t bother to question. Yes, Obama did, and does, lie on many levels but he only plays on our basic laziness and disillusionment with having to be responsible for our choices. All good things can be twisted into bad things by ignorance and greedy intent.
I would agree with you that too many voters are uninformed. It isn’t just that they don’t
have a clear understanding of issues, they are poorly educated in history.
On Alinsky: you might check out his “Rules for Radicals”.
As an aside, Hillary Clinton did her dissertation on him.

Great posts, Ziggy. So many are poorly educated from attending govt schools or private schools that have good discipline but the same progressive curriculum. At my son’s school, American history started with the Civil War. “Social studies” classes talk about the millions who immigrate to America and never explain why they wanted to come here, only vague mentions of poverty in their native countries and nothing about the freedom, liberty and prosperity that was at one time the draw to come here. We have to use his text books as lessons in revisionist history and teach him ourselves about the American Constitution and the dangers our society faces by the communists wearing sheep’s clothing like Cloward and Piven and others who preach the Bible but support evil.
