A ribbon cutting was held on Tuesday, March 25th for Rebuilding Hope, Inc.   Rebuilding Hope is a local ministry that began in 2006 and was incorporated in August of that same year.  The goal of the ministry is to show the love of Christ in the local communities, rebuilding hope in homes, hearts and the lives of the hurting.  They provide resources and coordinate rewarding opportunities for individuals or groups who are called to rebuild hope in broken lives.

RHI works with homeowners whose homes have fallen into substandard conditions by repairing and replacing roofs, restoring kitchens, bathrooms, and floors to a functional standard. Handicap ramps are also built to enable easier access for wheelchairs.  Teams of volunteers provide labor in work on homes in Vance, Granville, Franklin, Warren, and Halifax counties sharing the love of Christ at each job site.  We also have received donated mobile homes that we refurbish, and deliver mobile homes to families that have lost their homes.

A core group of churches regularly contribute to support the day to day operations in the warehouse that is loaned to them presently.  Local business and individuals donate necessary materials and funds for the ongoing work.  Each year teams of youth, and groups from local churches and businesses come to offer their time as the primary labor source.  For more information about Rebuilding Hope, contact Randolph Wilson at 252-438-5132 or stop in and visit at their location on 249 North Oliver Drive in Henderson.
