Grammy Winner Rita Coolidge Coming to the JPAC


LOUISBURG, N.C.—On Friday, April 25 at 7:30pm, songstress Rita Coolidge will be performing at Louisburg College’s JPAC.

The two-time Grammy Award-winning singer has enjoyed numerous hits in pop, country, adult contemporary and jazz styles. She topped the charts in the ’70s and ’80s with “Fever,” “We’re All Alone,” “One Fine Day,” “(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher & Higher,” and “The Way You Do The Things You Do.”

Coolidge also worked as an in-demand session vocalist, appearing on albums by Eric Clapton, Delaney & Bonnie, Joe Cocker, Leon Russell, and Stephen Stills. Her solo albums have featured artists such as Ry Cooder, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, Al Kooper, Leon Russell, Clarence White, Booker T. Jones, Duck Dunn, and John Sebastian. 

This concert event will take place in the Frances Boyette Dickson Auditorium in Louisburg College’s Seby B. Jones Performing Arts Center (JPAC). Tickets are available by calling the Louisburg College Box Office at (919) 497-3300 or toll-free at 1 (866) 773-6354.

Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the day of show; the Box Office is located in the JPAC at the left front entrance of the Holt Lobby. All performances over the entire season will take place at 7:30pm, with doors opening at 6:45pm. Children 12 and under, accompanied by an adult, are admitted free to all performances. The JPAC offers a special discount rate for groups of 20 or more.
