WHEN IS THIS GOING TO STOP. WEEK AFTER WEEK.
When the people of your city decide that the same old elected officials and the same old elected officials within the Court System are removed. When kids have a mother and a father to go home to; if that’s not possible then maybe aunts/uncles who can help raise the kids and TEACH them that LIFE is precious and TEACH them Right from Wrong!! That’s when your city may have a chance at not being the laughingstock of the 4 county area. Didn’t Henderson just have a store clerk shot and killed last week? Wonder how much time the Killers will get for taking this mans life? My guess with the 9th District Judicial System…..no more than 10 years and probably will be convicted of manslaughter if convicted at all. Not just 1 of the arrested but all 3 that were involved. They won’t get 40 years combined!!! Keep up with it while it plays out in Court and if I’m wrong I will donate $500 to the Boys & Girls Club in your area since between the faculty there and the teachers at the schools probably are the only “positive” role models a vast majority of today’s youth come in contact with. Time will tell if things get better in your area but the Webster’s Dictionary definition of Stupidity is “doing the same thing over & over and expecting a different result”!! How long do you need these “lifers” on the county commissioners board? How long do you need these “lifers” on the Vance Co. School Board? Get some new blood and young people into these offices and maybe….just maybe things may change?
Deception, that is actually the definition of “insanity”, not “stupidity”. Although one could argue that they are one and the same, lol.
As for the solution, it lies far deeper than elected officials in my humble opinion. It lies within the realization that Vance County has become a desperate community full of deperate people. People feel entitled in wanting and feel deserving of things, yet they refuse to actually “work” honest work to get those things. Work is out there for those who honestly want to do better for themselves in life. But, until our society mindset changes, we are destined for continued chaos. Unfortunately, I don’t see a change in sight.
