Weekend Alcohol and Drug Patrol Nets 77 Charges


On Friday and Saturday, July 11th and 12th, members of the Henderson Police Department and the N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement Agency participated in a join operation in the Henderson area. The purpose of this operation was to focus on nuisance type open air alcohol and drug violations. Officers in unmarked vehicles patrolled the city streets and parking lots looking for violations. During the campaign, there were a total of 77 charges brought against various individuals for drug, alcohol, and traffic violations. The following individuals were arrested for some of the more serious violations:

Michael “White Mike” Allen, 28, 3829 Raleigh Road Lot 9, Henderson- 2 counts of Possession With the Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Heroin; 2 counts of Sell/Deliver Heroin. Allen was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 70,000.00 secured bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Vance County District Court on July 21, 2014.

Jaquesha Cooper, 22, 934 Bridges Street, Henderson- 1 count of Possession With the Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Heroin. Cooper was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 25,000.00 secured bond. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 21, 2014 in Vance County District Court.

Derrick Antonio Owens, 25, 93 Pine Street, Henderson- 1 count of Possession With the Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Heroin and Simple Possession of Marijuana. Owens was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 35,000.00 secured bond. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 21, 2014 in Vance County District Court.

Joseph Sherron Owens, 28, 343 Kirby Lane, Henderson- 1 count of Possession With the Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Heroin and Simple Possession of Marijuana. Owens was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 35,000.00 secured bond. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 21, 2014 in Vance County District Court.

Shane Kristopher Clark, 27, 829 S. Main Street, Wake Forest- 1 count of Possession of Heroin. Clark was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 10,000.00 secured bond. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 21, 2014 in Vance County District Court.
