VGCC Warren Campus to hold seminar on Business Start-up

The Vance-Granville Community College Small Business Center has scheduled a free seminar, entitled “How to Start a Business the Right Way,” for Thursday, Aug. 14, from 2 until 4 p.m. at the college’s Warren County Campus in Warrenton.

In the seminar, instructor A.J. Ware will teach participants the 17 basic points of starting and running a business that go beyond a business plan. This seminar was developed specifically to teach people the most important things they need to be successful in starting a business. Ware said that the program is appropriate for anyone who has recently started a business (within the past several years) or who is thinking about starting a business.

Ware is the executive director of Raleigh-based Inmates to Entrepreneurs, a community outreach program that teaches current and former inmates how to start low-capital businesses. His entrepreneurial experience started at the age of 15 when he co-founded Mobile Radio Communications Company (MRC). Ware still has the entrepreneurial spirit, running a painting company and a motorsports park in addition to his work with Inmates to Entrepreneurs.
