Vance County Schools – Required High School Testing
Vance County Schools wants to keep students and their parents informed about required testing in our high schools for grades 9-12. According to State Board of Education policy, students who are enrolled for credit in courses in which end-of-course (EOC) assessments are required shall take the appropriate EOC assessment at the completion of the course. Vance-Granville Community College has scheduled several occupational healthcare courses to start in September at the college’s Main Campus in Vance County. The Nurse Aide Level I course will be offered on two different schedules. RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumers Services’ State and Federal Market News Service is launching a series of new reports focusing on locally produced agricultural products. Reports for the state-operated farmers markets in Raleigh and Asheville, which list current wholesale prices, are now online, as is Farm to School information, which provides total produce sales delivered plus unit prices. According to a new report from the Bureau of Economic Analysis today, U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 4.2 percent in the second quarter of 2014. Suspect Arrested from Weekend Shooting
On Sunday, August 24, 2014, members of the Henderson Police Department responded to Maria Parham Medical Center in response to a report of someone shot. When officers arrived, they discovered that Quincey Gregory was suffering from a serious gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that the incident took place around the 600 block of West Rockspring Street in Henderson. Gregory was transferred to Duke Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Vance-Granville Community College has scheduled several occupational healthcare courses to start in September at the college’s Warren County Campus in Warrenton.
