Per City Manager Ray Girffin: I am pleased to advise you I’ve appointed Code Compliance Directory Corey Williams as the Director of the newly formed Development Services Department. His promotion is effective of 26, September 2014, or the beginning of the current work period.
The Development Services Department is comprised of the former Code Compliance and Planning and Community Development departments. Mr. Williams has served as the Interim Planning Director since former Planning Director Eris Dunston resigned to take an administrative position in Halifax County.
Mr. Williams has performed in a most admirable manner during these past five months as Interim Planning Director as well as managing his own departmental functions. I am confident he will help carry the Development Services Department forward in a proactive, progressive manner.
Congratulations to Mr. Williams.
This is a good move for the Mr. Williams and the city.
