Bank Employee Arrested for Identity Theft

On May 1, 2015 Reginald Emmett Hicks of 96 Frank Sneed Road Kittrell, North Carolina was arrested and charged with five counts of identity theft and five counts of obtaining property by false pretenses. The alleged crimes occurred while Mr. Hicks was employed with Union Bank and Trust in Henderson. Mr. Hicks, a bank advisor, allegedly used various members’ account information to make a purchase and obtained electronic funds through PayPal. The incidents occurred between December 2014 and January 2015. Bank personnel notified the police once the alleged crimes were discovered and assisted full with this investigation. Mr. Hicks received a $10,000 secured bond pending a court hearing in Vance County on June 8, 2015.
