Senate Intelligence Hearing

Last week, I chaired the third open Senate Intelligence Committee hearing of 2015. National Security Agency Director Michael Rogers testified on several key intelligence matters.

When asked if private email servers, like the one used by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, could put national security in jeopardy Admiral Rodgers said that it “represents opportunity” and would be a “top priority for foreign intelligence services.”

Pushing to Maintain the 440th Airlift Wing at Fort Bragg

Senator Tillis and I wrote to Army Chief of Staff Mark A. Milley, expressing concern our that the Air Force’s plan to dismantle the 440th Airlift Wing at Fort Bragg’s Pope Airfield would undermine the training and readiness of America’s Global Response Force.

I’m grateful for the support of the Fayetteville Observer, which published an editorial calling on the Pentagon to take action in the matter.
