It is possible he didn’t even know he hit him, especially if he hit him with the trailer. I hate the man died but he shouldn’t have been in the road in a wheel chair anyway. Especially at 9:00 at night. If someone saw him hit him, why didn’t they get the name off the truck? Check with Walmart. Going toward Vanco Mill it is possible he was delivering at Walmart.
One report is wheelchair and the other is motor scooter. The result was not good either way, but which is it? Motor scooters have caused many accidents and interfered with street traffic here for years.
I think it was the old man that rides his wheelchair up and down 39. I have seen him just riding along in the road. Why was he out there at 9:00 at night is beyond me.
This is a sad reminder that road safety is the responsibility of everyone. Whether your wheels are attached to a chair, a bike, a car, truck or tractor trailer, being aware of traffic is a driver’s first priority. If the victim was indeed in a wheel chair, I doubt there were reflector rear lights and at least one head light.
If it was a wheelchair that the person was in I have to ask WHY were they in the road to begin with and out at 9 pm???
Why is anyone away from home after dark? A quick run to the grocery store? The need to use a telephone? It’s just a shame that anyone on foot or wheels is killed, day or night. It says much about our awareness of our surroundings. There are really no ‘accidents’, just carelessness’s.
Zep I go out after dark often but I don’t however go in a wheel chair… I hate the gentleman was killed but WHY was he out after dark and in the road in a wheel chair?
Triple H….for once we are in agreeance.
Drama I think we agree on many things just not on your friend the “Town Crook” as Deception has so cleverly named her. When is her court day? It should be coming up some time soon if I am accurate
She posts on FACEBOOK–perhaps you can ask her.
I’d love to prudence but she’s not a friend of mine. I’ve tried to add her but she won’t accept my request. Could you be so kind an ask her for me please?
She;s not my friend on facebook, but she posts to a friend of a friend–confusing I know. But I don’t care to know her, just want to see her serve time for theft–we’ll see in time I guess.
I agree Prudence. I would be ashamed to show my face much less post on social media sites. … it just shows how much remorse Christa Harris Reavis has which is obviously NONE
