Arrest Made from Shooting on West Andrews Avenue


On Friday morning, October 16, 2015, members of the Henderson Police Department Patrol Operations Division responded to Gate City Foods, 601 W. Andrews Avenue in Henderson. Arriving officers found Jimmie Davis, 26, suffering from a gunshot wound. The investigation revealed that Davis and another individual, Dyquarium Moore were fired upon after they exited the store. Davis was transported to Duke Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Moore was uninjured in the altercation.

On Tuesday, October 20, 2015, members of the Henderson Police Department Criminal Investigation Division arrested Jerome Manson. Manson, 27, 720 Highland Avenue Apt. 5A, was charged with the following charges: Two counts of attempted first degree murder, one count assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, one count going armed to the terror of the public, discharging a firearm in the city limits, and injury to real property.

Manson was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 1,000,000.00 secured bond.
