Students from the Vance-Granville Community College NC REAL Professional Craft Artists Entrepreneurship program will be among the two dozen vendors participating in the Vance County Regional Farmers Market “Handcrafted Holiday Market,” to be held Saturday, Nov. 21, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The holiday market will offer hands-on experience to those students who recently completed the seven-week VGCC Small Business Center course, which was designed specifically to help creative local residents with skills in arts and crafts to succeed as entrepreneurs.
Area residents are invited to shop for holiday gifts and decorations created by local artists and crafters at this event, which will be held at the Farmers Market, located at 210 Southpark Drive in Henderson. In addition to the Farmers Market and VGCC, N.C. Cooperative Extension is partnering to organize the holiday market.
Items for sale at the market will range from locally baked goods, locally grown produce, honey and sauces to various types of crafts and artwork. Seasonal live music will be provided by The Buggs Island Community Band. A visit from Santa Claus is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon.
