Vance County Schools Students’ Posters Earn Recognition

Vance County Schools recognized the artistic talents of students at Aycock Elementary School and Zeb Vance Elementary School on December 1.

Terri Hedrick, public information officer, presented each of the students with a “thank you” note from the school system and gifts of popular board games for their efforts in creating outstanding posters for the N.C. School Boards Association Poster Contest in November. Each poster followed the theme, “What’s Super About Public Schools.”

A poster done by Uziel Sosa and Shadasia Holden, second graders at Zeb Vance Elementary, actually won second-place in the K-2 competition in the statewide contest.
