VGCC offers seminar on best businesses to start in 2016

The Vance-Granville Community College Small Business Center is offering a free seminar for local residents who want to start a new business in the new year.

“Top 20 Businesses to Start in 2016 & Why” is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, from 6 until 9 p.m., in room 7107 (Building 7) on the college’s Main Campus in Vance County.

In this seminar, instructor Steve Carver will help participants consider and research what kind of business or franchise might be best for them, based on their experience, investment capital and other resources. He will try to help budding entrepreneurs avoid the “analysis paralysis” that can result from too much surveying, quizzing and guessing while trying to determine the best type of business to start.

For more information and to reserve a seat in this free seminar, contact Small Business Center director Tanya Weary at smallbusiness@vgcc.edu or (252) 738-3240.
