The Continuing Education division at Vance-Granville Community College held an Open House to showcase the work of students in Personal Enrichment classes on Nov. 30, on the college’s Main Campus in Vance County.
The open house offered visitors a chance to see the artistry of talented students and instructors from VGCC’s painting, ceramics, dollmaking and quilting classes. VGCC currently offers these types of classes at both the Main Campus and the Franklin County Campus near Louisburg.
“The community members who visited were impressed with what we have to offer,” said Gail Clark, who coordinates VGCC Personal Enrichment programming. “This event also offered a chance for people who are involved in one of our classes to meet those from the others, and see all the fun opportunities that are available.”
Upcoming Quilting classes on Main Campus are scheduled on Tuesdays, Jan. 12 through April 12, on Wednesdays, Jan. 20 through April 20, and on Thursdays, Jan. 21 through April 21. On either schedule, the cost is $95.
