Got to Be NC Festival seeks antique tractors, food vendors, musicians
May 18 @ 12:00 pm - May 20 @ 8:00 pmFree
The 2018 Got to Be NC Festival is right around the corner and organizers are looking for the best of North Carolina to participate. Farm-equipment hobbyists, musicians and food vendors can apply at gottobencfestival.com. The Got to Be NC Festival will be held at the N.C. State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, May 18-20.
The annual event features food, wine and beer from across North Carolina, farm animals, music, rides and games, and one of the largest displays of antique tractors and farm equipment in the Southeast.
The festival is looking for tractor collectors and clubs who want to be part of the event, including a daily tractor parade through the fairgrounds for tractors in working order. Participation is free, but pre-registration is required.
On Saturday, May 19, the festival will host the Carolina Bluegrass Battle. Traditional and contemporary bluegrass bands can register to compete for bragging rights and prizes. The winning band earns $500 in prize money, plus guaranteed paid performances at the 2018 N.C. State Fair and PreddyFest 2018. The second-place band receives $250, and $125 goes to the third-place winner. The competition is open to amateur bluegrass bands from North Carolina, but is limited to the first eight bands to register.
Food concessionaires, commercial vendors and organizations interested in exhibiting at the festival have until April 1 to complete their application. April 1 is also the deadline for North Carolina-based food and beverage companies interested in participating in the Homegrown Marketplace presented by Lowes Foods. To be eligible for the Homegrown Marketplace, vendors must be members of the Got to Be NC marketing program.
Registration forms and vendor applications are available at gottobencfestival.com.
