Raleigh cops nab Henderson wanted


On April 22, 2009, around 8:50 p.m., officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to the residence of 544 W. Spring Street in Henderson in reference to an armed robbery that had occurred.

Upon the officers’ arrival, a of the suspects was obtained. Suspects were described as being one black male with close-cut hair, dark completion, 6′ 1″ in height, and 150 lbs in weight and the other a black male with a close-cut hair, a light complection, 5′ 1″ in height and 140 1bs. The victim’s account was that both suspects came into her residenct with handguns and took an undisclosed amount of US currency from her purse.

After further investigation by the Henderson Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, it was determined that the suspects were on a Greyhound bus that left from Henderson at 1:10 p.m. on April 23, 2009. The Raleigh Police Department’s Fugitive Task Force was contacted and they apprehended the suspects and an undisclosed male juvenile who possessed a handgun at the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Raleigh, NC.

633 Breckenridge Street
Henderson, NC

Jonquil S McKinley, 17
of 490 Merriman Street
Henderson, NC

Both have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy. They were given a $50,000 bond and were placed in the Vance County Jail pending their next court date on April 27, 2009.
