The N.C. Department of Commerce’s Labor and Economic Analysis Division has released its August issue of N.C. Today: July economic data indicate little improvement in state labor market conditions. North Carolina’s smoothed seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 8.9 percent in July from 8.8 percent in June.
