Henderson Police Department: Rape Suspect Arrested
On Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:28 P.M., Henderson Police officers were dispatched to Thomas Street in Henderson in reference to a sexual assault. The 50 year-old victim in this matter stated that while walking down Young Avenue, she was confronted by a male with a handgun. The victim was forcibly removed from the roadway at which time she was sexually assaulted. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Officers were able to locate the suspect shortly …

RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will soon treat gypsy moth infestations in Granville and Warren counties. The treatments are anticipated to occur between April 5 and April 25, depending on weather conditions and insect development. Two fine-mist applications of the biological pesticide Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki, or Bt(k), will be made four to 10 days apart.
