New Logs Require Behind-the-wheel Experience For Young Drivers
RALEIGH — The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles has posted on its website two new driving logs that teen drivers will be required to complete under the state’s graduated licensing program beginning January 1, 2012. The logs are required by legislation passed by the General Assembly to increase behind-the-wheel experience for young drivers. Employee Theft Charge gets $70,000 Bond
On December 23, 2011 members of the Special Operations Division arrested Jessie Heatherly Jacobs, a W/F of 4042 Cannady Mill Road, Kittrell. Jacobs was charged with (7) seven counts of Uttering a Forged Instrument, (7) seven counts of Forgery of Instrument, and (7) seven counts of Larceny by Employee. The victim in this case is SERVPRO of Henderson. Jacobs has been placed in the Vance County Jail under a $70,000 bond and a court date of January 30th 2012.

State Unemployment Rate Drops to 10 Percent in November
RALEIGH — The number of people unemployed in North Carolina decreased in November as the unemployment rate decreased to 10 percent, down from 10.4 percent. Total nonfarm jobs grew slightly by 3,800 in November with the private sector gaining 4,600 jobs. The public sector shed 800 jobs. “The drop in the unemployment rate was significant,” said N.C.
