Vance-Granville Community College recognized 90 students who were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for students of two-year colleges, on April 15 in the Civic Center on the college’s Main Campus. Lamonte Adams Arrested on Heroin Charges
On Tuesday, April 22, 2014, members of the Henderson Police Department arrested Lamonte Jayquan Adams, 20, 1013 N. Pinkston Street, Henderson. Adams was charged with one count of felony possession of heroin. Adams was placed in the Vance County Jail after failing to post a 5,000.00 secured bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in Vance County District Court on May 5, 2014.
