Ice Storm Debris Cleanup Starts Next Week in Durham and Person counties; Following Week in Granville Co.
Raleigh – The cleanup of vegetation debris from March 6-7 ice storm that hit central North Carolina will start in part of Durham County on Monday, March 31, to be followed by debris collection beginning in Person County two days later. Vance-Granville Community College will offer its fourth annual Science Camp for middle school students this summer. The Science Camp will be held June 16-20, 2014, on the college’s Main Campus in Henderson. N.C. Department of Agriculture offers Specialty Crop Block Grant Program
RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is accepting grant proposals from nonprofits and government agencies through the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program. The program aims to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops in the marketplace. It is managed by the department and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture under the 2014 farm bill. RALEIGH, N.C. – N.C. Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker and Assistant Secretary for Rural Development Dr. Pat Mitchell announced today that the N.C. Second Arrest Made in BP Station Robbery and Shooting
On Thursday, March 27, 2014, members of the Henderson Police Department and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation arrested a second individual in regards to this matter. Marvin Hargrove Jr., 25, 123 S. Cooper Drive, Henderson was charged with one count of first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of second degree kidnapping.
