Vance-Granville Community College will soon offer a Beekeeping course taught by Warren County farmer and VGCC graduate Mike Holland. The class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 until 8 p.m., Oct. 6 through Nov. 12, in room 7104 (Building 7) on the college’s Main Campus in Vance County. Twenty-eight nonprofit boards submitted applications to open public charter schools in August 2017. Henderson Police Seeking Info on Shooting – Reward Offered
On September 26, 2015 around 3:44 AM officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to the area behind the Quick Mart, 517 E. Andrews Ave, Henderson in reference to a subject that was shot. Upon arrival, officers found Horace Jackson, 49, of 912 Hargrove Street, Henderson suffering from a gunshot wound.
