This 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass, owned by murder victim Betty Carey, is missing.
Police have released a photo of Betty Overby Carey’s missing 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass in the hope of turning up clues to how she died, and now they are looking for her nephew as a “person of interest” in the investigation.
Carey, 53, was found dead in her Wesley Drive home Sunday morning, and Henderson police are investigating the death as a homicide.
Police were called to the house at 366 Wesley Drive, just inside the city limits near Parham Road, at 10:11 a.m. after someone went to check on Carey, who had not been seen or heard from in a while, according to a news release from Police Chief Glen Allen. Carey’s body was inside the house.
Investigators are searching for Carey’s blue, two-door, 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Its license plate is HND-5532.

Tracey Taylor has been missing since last week.
In the latest twist Wednesday, Allen announced that the search also is on for Terry Tracey Taylor Jr., 26, a nephew of Carey’s.
According to the third news release from the police in this case, Tracey Taylor has not been
seen for about a week. He is from Granville County.
Taylor may have been the target of foul play, Allen reported, and investigators need to find him to confirm his well-being.
Taylor is considered a person of interest in the investigation.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Taylor or the missing car or with any other information on Carey’s death or final days is asked to call the Henderson police at 438-4141, the State Bureau of Investigation at 800-334-3000 or Crimestoppers at 492-1925. All information remains confidential.
A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Carey’s killer or killers.
Her death is the second homicide of the year in Henderson and the fourth in Vance County. In late April city police announced that the reward available for help in solving the murder of Lajuan Wilkins, 22, at his Maple Street home in March had been increased to $7,000.
One of the noncity slayings in Vance also remains unsolved: Otis Glasco’s body was found near Brodie Road on Jan. 18, more than a week after his bullet-riddled car was found on Briggs Road.
