Lighthouse bounces forward with groundbreaking

Lighthouse Entertainment invites the public to attend the groundbreaking for its Lighthouse Entertainment Complex on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Northpark development behind the new Social Security Administration building off Beckford Drive.

The 9,800-square-foot complex will offer a range of entertainment options focused on young children. The heart of the complex will be a 4,800-square-foot bounce room divided into two areas, each with three inflatable units. One side will have inflatables for 2- to 7-year-olds; the older side will target 8- to 12-year-olds.

The facility will include party rooms, two of which will have themes. One will be used for Animaland parties, which allow each guest to choose an animal, stuff, dress and name it, and carry it home in its own cradle. Another party room will be dedicated to Lighthouse’s all-inclusive dress-up tea parties.

The Lighthouse Entertainment Complex also will cater to company, church and private parties. The 4,800-square-foot room can be cleared of the inflatable units to serve parties of up to 300 people. The smaller rooms will seat 18 to 30 people.

“It is our hope that this facility will be utilized by companies for their seminars and holiday parties, by churches for their fall, spring and holiday celebrations, by businesses for customer appreciation days, by organizations for their annual meetings and by private citizens for their personal celebrations,” Lighthouse owner Nancy Jo Smith said.

“We are very excited to bring this complex to Henderson and Vance County. We have continually strived to provide our community with a high-quality, safe and enjoyable entertainment experience.”
