Last week developer Grey Poole of MarkPiercePoole Properties told the Planning Board that Dabney Exchange won’t be quite as extensive as originally planned, thanks to a depth of 10 to 20 feet of fill material on more of the former pickle plant property than was expected. Poole said the fill material likely is the old pickle plant. The Planning Board approved a change in the site plan to accommodate the new information. Today, the developer appears before the board at a special meeting at 2 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The goal this time is to subdivide an 8.1-acre tract within the commercial complex at the western end of Dabney Drive. We can’t wait to see what will join Ruby Tuesday, Chick-fil-A, Smithfield’s and Eckerd.
