Robber hits Carvers on Raleigh Road


A man brandishing a handgun robbed the Carvers Restaurant at 208 Raleigh Road on Monday night.

Henderson Police Chief Glen Allen reported that three Cavers employees were in the establishment about 9:10 p.m. when the bandit entered and demanded money.

After swiping an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled on foot.

No one was hurt

D.J. Chavis was the responding officer. The Detective Division is investigating.

The robber was described as a black man in his 30s with a stocky build, about 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds.

Crimestoppers, at 492-1925, will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the robber. All information is kept confidential, and callers may remain anonymous.
