The following press release was received from the office of Interim City Manager Jerry Moss:
My office has been conducting an internal Administrative Investigation over the last few weeks involving possible employee theft in the workplace. Our investigation has been limited in scope but has produced clear evidence that one or more employees have been involved in the theft of city property. Outside polygraph test are presently being administered and other related written documentation has been given my office.
Therefore, I have asked the SBI to begin a formal investigation into this matter. I have removed my office from the formal SBI investigation but further administrative actions will be forthcoming over the next few weeks.
No further comments or questions will be provided until this investigation is completed by the State Bureau of Investigation.
