There will be a sidewalk sale all day today.
A Chili Cook-off will be held beginning at 12:00 p.m. It is sponsored by Heart’s Haven Domestic Violence Shelter and the Amran Shrine Racers Unit to the benefit of both of those organizations. The cook-off will be held on Breckenridge Street.
For the children there will be face painting, balloon art, and a giant slide on the corner of Garnett Street and Breckenridge Street. These will be available from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at no cost.
Finally, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held at 2:30 along Garnett Street between Spring and Montgomery Streets.
The event is sponsored by the Henderson-Vance Downtown Development Commission.
